Scultore e "non solo", nasce a Foligno nel 1937, le prime esperienze le ha realizzate presso l'Accademia di Perugia dove ha conseguito il diploma che gli ha consentito di mantenersi attraverso l'insegnamento.

Ha effettuato esperienze nella Repubblica Ceca e in Finlandia dove ha realizzato opere monumentali in legno per il luogo.

Le sue innumerevoli mostre di gruppo, collettive e personali  sono avvenute in Italia e all'estero.

Il suo interesse oltre alla scultura è stato anche rivolto al disegno e alla costruzione di mobili, alla progettazione architettonica, alla progettazione e realizzazione di scenografie teatrali e ultimamente è stato attratto dal colore del quale ha fatto un elemento intrusivo nell'opera scultorea.

 

Angelo Cucciarelli was born in Foligno. He studied at Accademia di Belle Arti in nearby Perugia, where in 1978 he was recognized as “Accademico di merito”. His early artistic formation began in this very same environment.

The range of Mr Cucciarelli’s abilities in the field of the Visual Arts in seen also in the fact that he taught sculpture at Accademia di Belle Arti, Perugia and from 1962 to 1985 he was Chair of “Plastica” in the Spoleto Art Institute. In 1985 he was recognized by art critics and peers alike in the “Catalogo della Scultura Italiana” (G. Mondadori, ed.)

His works are found in many countries, in both public and private collections. They reflect the efforts of a sculptor who has for years sought to harness the energy and plasticity of the many materials he uses, from metals, to stone, to wood, often brought together so as to recreate the intimate relationship between nature and primitive and rural cultures.
